YDS (Foreign Language Examination) is a foreign language exam given by students wishing to study in a foreign language at Turkish Universities.
This exam is held twice a year in spring and autumn in Turkey. YDS exam results are accepted by all universities. The exam is also held in other languages, except English.
The exam lasts 180 minutes, consists of 80 questions and is evaluated by a 100- point system. The validity period of the exam results is typically 5 years, but in some universities it is determined by their own internal legislation.
